Why collectors use RubyCollect as an eBay alternative
eBay Canada and eBay.com list a 13.25% final value fee for sports trading cards, non-sport trading cards and collectible card games on the portion of a sale up to $7,500, then 2.35% on the portion above that amount. Both fee pages also list a $0.30 per-order fee for orders of $10 or less and $0.40 for orders above $10, in the local marketplace currency.
RubyCollect's seller fees
RubyCollect's current seller fee is 6% for Standard physical-card listings and 4% for Premium physical-card listings, with a sliding minimum up to $0.79 CAD Standard and $0.69 CAD Premium; the minimum scales down on very small card prices (starting at $0.50 CAD). E-Pack seller fees are 7% Standard and 5% Premium. The marketplace seller percentage applies to the card price alone. For physical cards, RubyCollect separately recovers 2.9% of buyer-paid postage to offset the percentage payment-processing cost, without an added fixed charge or marketplace commission on shipping. E-Pack has no shipping recovery. Sales tax is excluded from seller fee calculations.
